I’m going to explain this as best as possible. Sometimes I feel like everything around me is unreal. I have trouble thinking and getting my sentences to form correctly. The best part of my day is right when I wake up because I don’t yet have this weird feeling. I feel great for about 3 hours after waking up but then I slip into this "altered" state of consciene. Sometimes I feel so strange it induces a panic attack (at leat once a month). I also have dull pressure in my temples (not sure if it’s related). I’m a male 25 years old, 5’8 and 150 lbs. Just wandering if anyone else can relate. Thanks.

You could be suffering form generalized anxiety. It effects people differently but generally you don’t feel like "yourself". It can also cause chest pain and shortness of breath. And the panic attacks are a definite sign. I highly recommend seeing your doctor and explaining your symptoms. There are medications that he can give you to help. Be careful because anxiety can also lead to depression. I know because I have had it and am now on Paxil. Take my advice, talk to your doctor. And, no, your not losing your mind, it is just something that people go through.
Good luck!

As another poster suggested, generalized anxiety disorder http://www.webmd.com/anxiety-panic/guide/general-anxiety-disorder may be a possibility.

However, you may want to consult your physician to rule out neurological causes. Your physician may want to begin with a CT scan of your brain and an EKG to rule out organic causes of your symptoms.

I encourage you to see your physician with these symptoms!

i don’t think your crazy people who are crazy do things they don’t know there doing like walking around the place naked and setting stuff on fire. i think you really need to see a doctor coz theres no way else you can find out wether you have a medical condition or a mental illness.
