Am I experiencing symptoms of g.e.r.d?

I don’t know what happened. Two nights ago my jaw was tense so I started rubbing around the lower/bottom sides of my jawline. All of a sudden I went from being okay to having these symptoms:

1) Feeling like something was stuck in (and blocking) my air passage.
2) Fear of choking.
3) Feeling like I could potentially swallow my tongue.
4) Dry and thick tongue.
5) Panic attacks and anxiety as a result.
6) Esophagus closes up tight.
7) Difficulty swallowing.
8) Afraid to eat in fear of choking.
9) Pressure while breathing.
10) Dry red rash around mouth.
11) Chest tightness.
12) Ear pain and pressure.
13) Need to lie down alot due to exhaustion (could be because of not eating alot or not getting alot of sleep).
14)Light wheezing when it gets really bad.
15) Trying to hack up whatever it is that feels stuck in my throat but nothing but white bubbly flem and spit comes out.

At night before sleep, it gets really bad to the point where I have to switch positions about every two minutes to breathe easier. When I find a right position and feel comfortable enough with breathing through my nose I can go to sleep. The next morning I feel alot better. Then it progressively gets worse throughout the day.

I can’t go to the doctors just yet because we are in the process of switching to a different health insurance. My sister went to the ER a couple of years ago for almost the same symptoms (throat closing up – feeling like she can’t breathe) but the doctors said she probably had an allergic reaction to something and couldn’t do anything about it because they couldn’t find anything wrong with her. Eventually it went away though.

Until then I need to try to stay as healthy as possible. Are there any foods or natural remedies that will help? Or any breathing excercises to open up my throat? All I ate yesterday was a small bowl of blueberries and one extremely diced up banana. About fifteen minutes later it felt like there was blueberry tasting bile coming up my throat, but I couldn’t exactly throw it up for no matter how hard I tried to hack it up.

I would have thought it is something due to anxiety, but the part that doesn’t seem to fit is the rash around your mouth. I am very allergic to blue berries myself (bummer), and I suggest you stay away from anything with them for awhile and then try it again. If the syptoms go away and then return when you try the blueberrys again then it is likely a food allergy. I’ll say a prayer for you sister. I have no health insurance and I know how that is.
