Am I having a Panic Attack?

Each night as I lay down to go to sleep I’ll get a headache, then I’ll have hotflashes, and then shortness of breath, and finally my heart will start pounding like crazy. This has happened three times already and it is extremely scary. I’ve been to the E.R. but when they run the tests they can’t find anything wrong with me. My mom thinks I’m having panic attacks, but I’m not so sure. It normally lasts about thirty minutes. I feel better when I’m sitting up as opposed to when I’m lying down. Has anyone else experienced this or know what could be happening to me? I’m am a heavy smoker (I’m trying to quit) and I drink lots of caffeine.
I am 23 years old.

My advice to u, do yourself a favor and cut down on caffeine and smoking.I had panick attack after a cup of really strong coffee. My heart was pounding like crazy, i got really scared, had to go to the doctor.I also had something not very pleasant going on in my life so caffeine, stress and lack of sleep triggered panick attacks. It could be ur case.Take care.

prob not
don’t drink caffeine or smoke.Caffeine causes fast heart rate, sweating things like a panic attack but is not one.
ask her to have you see a reg doctor about the heart
