Am I the only one who thinks ryan babel coming to Anfield was a waste of his time and ours ?

hes not progressed – because he came to us, end of.

thats the <beep> truth, a player can only be as good as the team players around him – its called football, not ‘individual excellence’.

I don’t understand why he was played so out of position when really hes an attacking forward.

Id like to have some of the think-tank at LFC sat down at a table, so i can quiz them on the motives behind signing some of the players (like Babs, not Original Babs of 2000/2001, but the current Babs). and how they intended to use them and what their assigned roles in the starting XI , or squad were.

I just think Rafa has done what most of the prem managers do, whcih is ‘panic buy’ needlessly, if hes a good player and hes decent get him before someone else does and we’ll figure out ‘how he will be part of the team’ AFTWEARDS.

thats silly.

its the equivalent of playing Jenga, with players.

the art is to carefuly remove a player or two and replace that void without toppling the structure.

im all for balance and harmonics, id rather have XI spirited players than XI johnny foreigners running up and down the pitch unable to figure out their team mates, manager and overall sense of direction in the game.

Rafas activity in the transfer market has been diabolical. I fear that the club is a long long way away from winning a league title, their first in over 2 decades.

big thanks to the board for appointing Souness as boss in 1991, thanks a bunch guys. no really thanks.

He’s been lazy and not put the effort in when he’s been given the chances – Rafa’s used him in exactly the same way that his Dutch managers have done so I can’t see how you can say he’s played out of position.

Did you think we were a long way from winning the title last season when we gathered our biggest points tally – which took United picking up their biggest points tally ever to stop us winning it ?

A lot of nonsense is talked about Rafa’s transfers – usually by fans of other teams when the fact is he has been hamstrung by the cash flow situation and the ineptidute of Parry – who negotiated all the deals until last year (the Keane one in particular)

I cant think of any of his purchases that have been panic buys (in the way that David Moyes does) most have been well thought out and been in competition with other top european teams for the signature. Most have also been funded by the sale of other players predominantly – you realise that Sunderland have had a greater net spend than us over the last 2 years dont you ?

I’m not a Liverpool fan but everything u said is right. U can only imagine what Babel would become if he went to a manager like Arsen Wenger or SAF but thats just a waste now. I wouldn’t be suprised if the same sort of thing happens to Danni Pacheo who’s another talented youth at Liverpool.

your question is too long. anyway, i think babel is the best rafa could have down with what little transfer budget liverpool has had in the last 3 or 4 years. some people like him and voronin and kuyt and dossena and aurelio and skrtel (im almost out of breath) just don’t adapt to playing for a once-big-4 club

Arsene should buy him and make him a lethal player in the mode of Henry..he has pace, power, height and an eye 4 goal…what a waste of a player only at liverpool i suppose, make a hero of some1 slightly above average and Destroy some1 who has a lot of talent

AND HOW LONG HAS IT TAKEN YOU TO COME UP WITH THIS…?

a lot of liverpool fans said when he came here that he was one for the future which was ok at the time

now they (&you) are calling for his head that inspires a player doesnt it

as for panic buying its the only thing rafa has been good at in a bad way

he picked out barry to have in midfield along with alonso and gerrard to try and form a more attacking midfield and what happened to that idea

HE LOST 2 OUTTA 3 lol

diabolical eh..? you are so kind to the him

you also forgot about cisse, keane and others as well

LONG MAY RAFA REIGN

THE PREMIER LEAGUE WOULD BE LESS FUN WITH OUT HIIM

the problem with liverpool is not the Johnny foreigners as you put it,it’s Gerrard your all action man hero, liverpool DON’T have a structure nor a system,no Rhythm nor a Harmoniest midfield because of Gerrard he’s fcukin everywhere.get the ball to gerrard, get the ball to torres that is liverpool.long ball.hoof the ball run around like headless chicken team.I’m sure Rafa would like to get rid of Gerrard and build a team that is more Harmoniest and plays a system like utd, arsenal and chelsea but he Can’t because of Fans like yourself.critical of others but not your loving boy.

to be honest i didn’t read all of that it was way too long, but i personally think Babel is a cracking little player and deserves more pitch time. i fail to understand Rafa’s logic when playing babel he has shown a lot of promise and not been given the chance to deliver it.
as for Rafa activity in the transfer market diabolical is a bit strong, Keane was Rafa making a point to the board about control and choice.

I disagree with you Through Harmoney we win. Look it’s clear cut and simple. Rafa is no longer the manager he once was. He buys random players and sits them. When choosing players he never thingks about the chemistry between them. He got alittle lucky with the Gerrard Torres combo. But who could get that wrong? One of the best playmakers with one of the best forwards, not a tough one. I know I’m an Arsenal fan and im a little bias. But Everyone will agree when i say this.

Liverpool wastes their youth.
