Anyone ever or presently have Agoraphobia (Panic Attack)? What do you do with it?
Can share with me the agoraphobia/panic attack? Beside the breathing technique any good treatment, technique to cure? Any hotline to talk about it?
as far as i know, agoraphobia is not a panick attack.
agora was a market in ancient greece where the philosophers used to meet and talk.
agoraphobia is a fear of open, large spaces.

You can become agoraphobic after getting panic attacks. When my panic attracks started 20 years ago I really thought I was losing my mind. It’s a feeling of dying or going crazy and not understanding why. Some people hyperventilate, get sweaty hands and rapid pulse. I tried free clinics and all their advice, and they weren’t of much help to me. I got married and my husband didn’t want me to work outside the home. He wanted me to stay at home and answer the phone if he went anywhere. I started getting really nutty. I was afraid to go places because I was afraid of flipping out in a public place and embarrassing myself. It helps to distract yourself with a book or magazine. It helps to call a friend. It helps to take deep breaths or say reassuring things out loud to yourself, like "I’ve gotten through this before and I can do it again." Or just "I am fine." I am about 98% better than when it first started. I see a doctor and am on a low dose of a benzodiazepene. There’s a book called "The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook," by Edmund Bourne that’s helped me a lot. It has loads of good techniques in it. I feel bad for anyone who’s dealing with panic attacks. I wish you the best.

I found a site, http://www.anxietyhotline.com. It’s a 212 number though. They have info on panic attacks and you can email them questions for free.
