Not likely. Recruiters tend to stay away from single parents. Plus his panic attacks, and medication pose a huge risk for the military.
It is always good to try, becuase you never know. But… do not get your hopes up.

The Paxil thing could be a problem, but who knows.
It might actually be good for him.

I believe the Active Duty age limit is 26. It could be 28. The age limit for non-prior service people for the National Guard is 35. If he can/does Enlist he is required to have a family care plan since he has dependents, which that is looked at. Also, he will have to complete a physical before leaving for basic, and all his health issues will be looked at that time as well.

Not if they are aware of the anxiety attacks they won’t! Besides anybody with three kids should stay home in the first place. The idiots with wife’s and kids that enlist just show how moronic they truly are and how little they care for their families!

He could join up to age 42.
However — with three small children he will be totally ineligible unless the mother has custody.
The panic attacks and Paxil will very likely make him ineligible.
Ask a recruiter for an exact answer.

No. He’ll never get in with those circumstances.

Probably not since he’s having mental health issues. The health screening done for the military is, let’s say thorough. His medical records will be pulled and he will undergo extensive tests. The government weeds out people with disabilities because once they accept you they have to take care of you. So they are careful about who they accept.

His age is not a problem. His medical history will probably disqualify him………..

His age is not an issue, but his panic attack are, I don’t think the military will allow him to join.

His age is fine. The Paxil may keep him out though. He needs to talk to a recruiter and you need to try to be a little bit more supportive. He doesn’t need your permission, he is a grown man.
