My grandmother died last week, and three nights ago I had my very first panic attack…I had no idea what was going on, I though I was having a heart attack. I went to the hospital, they said panic attack. But now I’m scared I’m going to keep having them. Is it possible for them to happen once and then go away?

Stressful situations can and do cause panic attacks. One of the main onsets for future panic attacks is the fear of having another attack! If you realize that this situation is the cause of the panic attack you shouldn’t fear another one coming about from a different situation. If you get a chance and are concerned about panic attacks and are looking for a treatment you can take a look at my website – bestpanicattacktreatments.com. I review several programs that are very effective. Sorry to hear about your grandmother and hopefully your panic attack is an isolated incident

There caused by stressful situations soo if you have another situation envolving similar levels of stress or anxiety it could happen.. Often those afflicted will experience significant anticipatory anxiety and limited symptom attacks in between attacks, in situations where attacks have previously occurred.Though the effects of a panic attack vary from person to person

this may help alittle more, but do some more research now you know you get them

The same thing happened to me.

3 years ago i watched my friend die after getting hit with a car and i started having panic attacks. Its really scary, almost like a heart attack.

I started going to therapy and they went away. So yes its possible for them to happen once and go away….but as a warning, they can come back at ANY time.

If you start having them alot talk to a doctor, you may be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. (which is what causes panic attacks)

I hope i helped:)
