Doctor’s can perscribe you xanax. It’s not a cure, just a temporary fix. It can be highly addictive, too. I really wouldn’t recommend it.

how do i cure my panic attacks?

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

i have a severe fear of being held down physically, especially when wrestling with someone, and having my arms and legs confined.

I used to get Panic attacks boxing so i talked to the coach, he then changed my sparing routine by doing body work only when sparing so to get used to it. so you need to modify your wrestling routine and start doing holds where you dont get panicky, it’s about controlling fear.
You also need to do meditation which also minimises panic attacks, hope this helps, u need to talk to yr coach he can help to.

Cure Panic attacks by causing them?

Monday, January 11th, 2010

I’m 30 and as of the last 2 years I’ve been more susceptible to random panic attacks. My understanding is panic attacks cant kill you and I can fairly reliable induce them by drinking a few cups of strong coffee, going a while without a cigarette, smoking too much, having a hangover or all of the above, and I wonder, can I build up a tolerance or resistance to the panic attacks or get rid of them entirely by attacking them head on? In other words, inducing them for a prolonged period and riding them through?
I should add, that at one time about 2 years ago i quit caffeine and smoking and had random panic attacks all day, every day.
Oh yea and I was quit for 8 months

Hey… Victoria here, maybe my personal story can give you some solace…

a lil about me- about a year after my husband left me and my daughter died about 5 years ago.. I was at a very difficult point in my life, and was ultimately diagnosed with depression, severe anxiety, and panic disorder. I would say that i’ve always for the most part been a little depressed and had some degree of anxiety, but this just completely tipped the scale. I remember there were days on end I would just lie in bed, and whenever I would be in a social environment my anxiety would go through the roof and I would often have panic attacks. Therapy never seemed to be effective for me, and my psych put me on damn near every med out there. I’ve been on everything from wellbutrin to paxil, zoloft, prozac, lexapro, celexa, buspar, valium, klonopin, xanax.. etc. Sometimes 2-3 different ones in combo at the same time. Nothing really seemed to work for me. With the exception of some of the benzos (klono./xanax) .. these worked well for a little while, but I grew tolerance quickly, and became highly addicted.

Then one day while researching online i came across this reputable looking website http://www.anxiety.pcti-system.com .. which talked about this program to eliminate your anxiety for good, all naturally. Long story short, I wound up signing up to try it and the program worked amazing.. Not only do I no longer have panic attacks and anxiety gone, but my depression has also seemed to dissipate a little. And I’m currently starting to slowly ween off the meds I’m on. >>>>

I would personally say that possibly the biggest driving factor in all this is OCD. I think obsessing and constantly having your thoughts focused on your own condition and constantly analyzing your own thoughts/actions plays a very significant role in the persistence of our ails. Almost like the condition is a small lit fire, and OCD is the fuel that keeps it consistently burning… Also, I’ve come to the conclusion that meds are generally a unhealthy short term cure that only semi-treats the symptoms, and never the cause. Hope I was of some help!

how to cure panic attacks?

i dnt suffer that bad from them, but when i do get them i just choke up, my heart starts beating a mile a minute and i just get shaky…

now i dnt want to go to the doctor or buy sumtin really expensive….
but there must be um people out there who hav some advice for me please

One of the most effective methods used is deep breathing. The following exercise will physically, and mentally calm you.

* Start out by breathing through your nose for a slow 3 count
* Then hold your breath for a slow 3 count
* And then exhale for a slow 3 count. You can do this as long as you want. It really helps.

Tense the various muscles in your body for a few seconds and then release, allowing yourself to relax. Good luck!

Cure For Panic Attacks to Avoid High Blood Pressure?

Monday, January 4th, 2010

I’m a pretty heathy person. I’m going to be 19 in 2 days,Average weight,No hypertension that i know of runs through my family.
I have anxiety problems though. Lately my stress level has been really bad. I’m not gonna take up time and write about what has been going on,but i have had it pretty rough lately. Well yesterday a friend of mine came over. He shares with me the same problems with his family over and over. I keep giving him advice and he doesn’t listen,so i told him i’m sick of hearing his stuff when he won’t doing anything about it and how it has been stressing me out. Previously i had drank some tea called Yerba Mate. It’s like green tea but a little different. It has alot of caffeine in it,at the time i didn’t know this would mess with my stress.
I felt really sick all of the sudden,i thought i was gonna barf. At this time i was still talking to my friend. I got up to go to the kitchen,i lend in the sink and i felt so dizzy i couldn’t even Stand up right,I couldn’t see, everything seemed super blurry and my hearing sounded all fuzzy when my mom was trying to ask if i’m okay. I couldn’t talk,i fainted on the floor. I ended u regaining consciousness and my mom called the ambulance,i couldn’t breathe right and i could feel my heart beating really fast,my hands and feet started to curl up and my wholebody went numb. They took me to the ER and said my blood pressure was 165 over 104
Which in turn was high blood pressure. The doc said it sounded like i was having a panic attack, but it just came in the middle of no where! I know i have been stressed, but i felt fine. What can i do to prevent stress and panic attacks?
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!
Forgot to add,i don’t rly like taking meds,is there any herbal things you know of i can take or some remedies you know of at all? Let me know.
Thanks :)

The technique at the link can be pretty effective if you practice it. This is very similar to cognitive therapy that is used by some therapists. So, if the technique at the link helps, you might consider seeing a therapist that specializes in cognitive therapy.

Are there any medications that can help cure anxiety and allow the brain to function faster?

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Are there any recommended medications that can cure nervousness / anxiety / panic attacks and allow the brain to function faster when a man’s trying to learn some things he reads, especially complex things, to understand them, and store new memory?. Tell me what you know!

Not pharmaceuticals (don’t do meds in Alternative medicine), but will tell you two natural remedies:

SAMe is a good anti-anxiety, brain sharpener. Take 200 mg in the morning before breakfast. You can take another 200mg later in the day, but I haven’t known anyone who it helped that didn’t notice plenty improvement on once daily dosing.

Also, BioNutrition MicroAglae, BioSuperfood. (Online orders, and at trade shows http://www.biosuperaliment.com ) Good stuff. If you are taking a lot of supplements, this whole food supplement can actually replace many. There are different strengths and dosages. When you order, you can use the contact to ask questions specific to your case if you wish. MicroAlgae was developed by a Russian scientist, now living in Canada, to combat cancer deaths in his family. It has been found to help with the issues you mention too. We actually used it here for mitochondrial dysfunction, and still noted help with concentration and anxiety (which are unrelated to the mito dysfunciton.)

There are other supplements that help with one or the other of your concerns, but these two seem to deal with both at once.

One other thing to consider is adrenal function. Tired adrenals can cause anxiety, depression, lack of concentration and memory. You take adrenal cortex glandular to counter tired adrenals and help them repair. In cases of adrenal fatigue, I’ve noted great improvement on adrenal cortex extract. For someone without any more history than you have provided though, I’d suggest the first two items to start with. If you want to research adrenal fatigue to see if it fits you, that would be good. Adrenal cortex glandular can be found at http://www.iherb.com (as can the SAMe at the best price I’ve found.) If you’ve never ordered from them before and decide to, use coupon code KES097 for an extra $5 off – not affiliated, just a happy customer with a coupon to share.

Hope you find just the right thing to help you!

Best health to you!

who can tell, how to cure anxiety and panics attack?

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

A person who experiences anxiety and panic attacks are susceptible to things called ‘triggers’- events, circumstances, locations, people and things that cause these to happen (they don’t come out of no where for no reason). It is the responsibility of the person experiencing these attacks to identify these triggers and avoid them. If avoiding them isn’t possible (for instance being in a public place with lots of people brings one on) Then we must develope ‘defusion techniques’- ways to take the power out of the situation that makes us panic. These techniques are different for different people. What calms you most, makes you feel comfortable….some people need quiet to calm down, and will carry an Mp3 player in public…other people count their breaths, purposefully making them really slow (this really helps most people), I find if I start singing when I feel the ’signs’ I am getting an attack (heart beat quickening, hyperventilating, tunnel vision) I can usually avoid an attack, also if it is possible, I will jump in a hot bath, because the water naturally calms me. Think of some things that work for you, and try them next time you feel the onslaught of an attack. Good luck in finding peace.

Anyone ever or presently have Agoraphobia (Panic Attack)? What do you do with it?

agora was a market in ancient greece where the philosophers used to meet and talk.
agoraphobia is a fear of open, large spaces.

Cure for Panic Attacks/Ideas?

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

I suffer from panic attacks. if you don’t know what they are, then then you pry shouldn’t be here, anyway, but if you want to know, just go to google and type in panic attacks. Plenty of information there.
For those of you who know what panic attacks are, and know any type of in depth information, can you guys give me some ideas on how to get rid of them? I know there’s a lot of "Pay now and do this course!" but i don’t know which ones really work and which ones don’t.
I already take meds…but they’re not helping too much, so I just got the dosage upped, but it’s not any better yet.
THANK YoU
~Bye

Klonopin is a highly addictive drug that is very hard to get off and often causes worse panic-type problems in the end. Breathing into your cupped hands (NOT a paper bag) can increase CO2 blood levels – when you hyperventilate you ‘blow off’ too much CO2 making you feel even worse. A good natural anti-anxiety/sedative is magnesium – most people on the SAD diet are deficient. It takes a while to replete magnesium, so something like valerian might help in the meantime. Try a good few weeks on magnesium before thinking about dangerous and ultimately self-defeating drugs like Klonopin.
Some respiratory physiotherapists specialise in hyperventilation syndrome/panic attacks – see if there are any near you.
