Could This Be a Panic or Anxiety Attack?
I’m very sure I have Social Phobia, and when I’m put in a situation that REALLY distresses me (being asked on a date, having to give a speech, etc.) I start getting freaked out (my mind goes blank, I stutter, I shake, fidget constantly, breath more quickly, my heart starts to beat quickly, I blink rapidly, etc), I eventually hear that "eeee" sound, like you sometimes hear when you’re in a very quiet place, and my mind goes kind of numb; I become less scared, and things seem…less real. Slightly like a dream, though I am aware that everything happening is real. I feel detached from myself, in a way…Kind of like I’m just someone watching what’s going on instead of an actual participant in the situation…

I also often feel slightly nauseous and dizzy after this happens, and sometimes I feel nauseous when I’m just anxious but not to that point.

I’m a fifteen-year-old girl.
Haha…I do tend to hold my breath without realizing it.
I’ve been really shy like this for years. I’ve been really shy y whole school life, but it didn’t get this bad until around grade six or seven.

It sounds like you definately have some anxiety issues. Those do sound like symptoms of a panic attack. Try talking with your parents about it or maybe see a counselor for relaxation tips. Try taking slow, deep breaths in your nose & out your mouth if you start to feel dizzy- you might be subconsciously holding your breath.

That sounds just like social phobia. When I was 15-16, I was in a debate class and if I had to talk in front of everybody, I felt the same way, so I dropped out of it. It’s either a panic attack or a PTSD flashback, but I sure remember the feeling – it’s terrible. I think it would be worthwhile to go and talk to a doctor about it and find out what he thinks. Maybe he would want to prescribe medication for this. I hope you feel better.

I feel just like that sometimes. It sounds to me like you have social
Phobias but don’t feel bad because a lot of people have it they are just to afraid to admit it because, they will think that others will think that they are crazy but the truth is that you don’t know what it is like in till you have been through it. If you ever just want to talk, I am here you can email me if you like! :) or try talking your parents if you think they would understand.
