I’ve suffered from permanent derealization for a couple weeks now.I’m not sure if it is permanent or what, because sometimes it went and was completely normal, and sometimes returns and strikes me 24/7 I’m 14 years old. I didn’t knew what it was until I did some research and was paralyzed by fear. When I did the research of it, and realized it was this, now I have it everyday, 24/7. It’s driving me crazy!

I feel like I’m living in a dream, and even though I know that I’m normal and that I’m in reality, somehow I still can’t realize it. Please help me. I’ve been with this for over a year now, and it comes and goes, but as I mentioned before, now It’s permanent.

I’ve read The Secret, and it has helped me calmed down, but it won’t go away

I also have panic attacks and anxiety attacks because of this. I can’t sleep also because I live with the fear that it won’t go away. Please help me! I want to return to my normal life please, be back to a normal guy. Is there something (natural remedies, pills, or something), that will help me get rid of this? Please?

I’m really scared that I will stay like this.

Thank you

You really should see someone who can help you get through it. Sounds like the problem may be a little bit bigger than you.

Calm down. Go for a run. Do yoga. There’s no reason to feel derealization, but if it keeps up after you try running and calming down and stretching and stuff, go see a doctor or a psychiatrist. They’re very nice.

Exercise, sports, talking with friends and family, even sour candy can help. But you might need to see a counselor that has experience with this to take care of it for good.

Derealization, or decompensation, can produce psychosis. Tell your parents what is going on and if they won’t help you (it’s amazing how obtuse some parents can be), call you state department of Human Services. They may be able to provide you with a therapist at a discounted rate. You’re in danger here. Act on this soon.

wow, no way i thought i was pretty much alone, i’ve been dealing with chronic derealisation for the past 4 years. i’ve read that it can be caused by occipital temporal dysfunction, along with other disorders as well as the more obvious anxiety. I’ve been treated for depression and anxiety but i’ve never really been able to explain exactly what’s wrong to a medical professional, goodness know i’ve tried but every time I’m close i back out because I’m afraid no one can help me. I can’t even remember what it feels like to be normal

Can you arrange to see a doc and explain what you feel

This often happens to people that sustain some sort of trauma. Yours just showed up one day huh? You may have the capacity to diagnose
yourself from the internet. Many people feel they have this ability because of the information available now. Send me your email and i’ll tell you some of my symptoms… maybe you can tell me I have Lupus
or an autoimmune disease because you watched House…
Keep me waiting forever and send me a bill in the mail. You are on your way to being credible.

Its something related to your subconscious,

I myself refuse to sleep unless I am really tired because I have creepy dreams, not nightmare but things that worries me.

Anyways its not an easy problem to get off on yourself, you should see a psychiatrist so he can put a name on your symptoms and give you medical help and taking therapies is a good idea too, what you can do on your own is that STOP thinking about this. The more you believe it the more you will become it.
