Did I have a panic attack last night at a party?
I’ve had asthma when I was a child.
I had about 3 glasses of wine, and the owner of the house smokes alot.
A guy kept throwing things at me, at my face, and my body. And he was completely sobre so I started telling him to get off me (shouting)
I ran off crying because I had wound myself up and was feeling really ill. I went upstairs to lie down, and my chest was throbbing and hurting and I was shaking. It had felt worst than any other times I had been upset. My chest had felt really tight too.
I was like that for about 20minutes, and then tried to sleep.
Is this a common reaction after alcohol mixed with anger? What is
it?
Thank you!
Ive had that happen to me plenty of times when id drink wine or drink at all. Liquor is like a relaxer it slows you a bit & when you get roudy or angry like what happen to you…you tend to breathe like hyperventing catching ur breathe & get like an anxiety kinda feeling.
You’re gona be ok it was nothing. Next time you drink & someone makes you mad & you feel that tension coming on again…go drink some tap water & get some fresh air outside or a fan & breathe slowly in & out…ok
you’ll be ok it happens!

To me, it doesn’t sound like you had a panic attack, I’ve had panic attacks and they sound completely different from what you said.
In my opinion, you may have had an asthma attack, but I don’t have asthma or haven’t had asthma so I can’t exactly say you did or not.
I don’t actually know what it was you could have had, and I would advise if you still have these pains in your chest to see a doctor, or go and see one anyway to see what it was.

I’ve had them before, it definitely could’ve been. Panic attacks aren’t abnormal, and aren’t serious or anything. They pass. Also, yes – if you get upset, and alcohol’s involved at the time, it can get you worked up to the point of an attack. I’ve witnessed it before, and don’t worry. You’re fine; you just got a bit rushed and stressed. As long as you aren’t feeling anything worth consent, if at all, you’re okay.
