Hi, I want to know if doing more exercise can help prevent panic attacks from occurring? I heard doing exercise can help you feel better about yourself, so I was wondering if it will also help me with my panic attack episodes?

Exercise can certainly help you feel better, but you may still have panic attack from time to time. Also, you can’t stop panic attack when it happens by exercising. I personally try to take a deep breath when it happens and tell myself to calm down. So far I have tries couple of techniques to stop panic and anxiety attacks, and only 3 methods have shown to be effective so far. You can learn about these 3 methods at http://www.panicanxietycures.com.

I hope this info helps

Yes. Also good for depression, if you can get out of bed, that is.

Yes, frequent and regular exercise can definitely help with your panic attack symptoms. It makes perfect sense that a healthy and stronger body is less likely to fall sick.

Exercising uses up excess adrenaline as well as producing relaxing endorphins, and this makes ALOT of difference to your panic attacks.

Take note that your exercise regime should include cardiovascular workout as well.

Exercise can help you feel better, since it allows endorphins to flood your body, and endorphins tend to make us happier. Equally important is learning how to breathe properly. Most people breathe only from the top of their lungs. Lie down flat on your back and rest your hand on your abdomen. As you breathe, determine whether or not your abdomen rises and falls. If it does not, then you are breathing only from the top of your lungs, which can cause panic and anxiety and breathlessness. You need to train yourself to breathe from the bottom of your lungs, so that your hand will rise and fall on your abdomen. Practice a lot until this kind of breathing becomes quite natural. You can do it while sitting in a chair, or walking, or whatever. After all, it is the correct way to breathe ! And, when a panic attack threatens, this kind of deep breathing will often thwart the attack. Best wishes.
