First panic attack, What should I do after?
I had a panic attack last night while I was driving. I manged to pull over softly. I did not know exactly what happened I got supper dizzy my heart was racing I could not breath. I was freaking out after a bit I calmed down and started driving again. After that it happened about less than a minute latter till I finally was able to get some watter.
In the past I been stressing a lot about my future no stop thinking. But after that it all stopped. I do not want this to happen again cause it freaked me out it totally disarmed my motor skills and fear next time I can crash. Is this something you recommend I see my doctor about?
I had no fears what so ever at that time. But the fear of my future and finding a job and passing my finals. Would that have trigger it?
You didn’t mention any fears out of the normal. I think the racing heart can be managed with some paper bag breathing to reduce the oxygen. Pulling over is wise for any thing unusual. Whenever depression gets too strong your brain makes chemicals as it has to erase false beliefs. Fears are borne when the medulla gets control of signals and mixes them up. The medulla is the auto brain and all the wires go through it from the body to the upper lobes. Driving and getting a stroke or heart attack requires one to be careful slowing down too.

Panic attacks are definitely the worst and very scary! I think you have been repressing your fears and they just built up and came out of nowhere and…wham!
Definitely slow down and stop obsessing about the future. I know it sounds impossible but you really can’t change what is to come and life gets much easier when you just worry about the moment at hand.
I suffered from panic attacks ALOT in college but starting a daily journal really helped me. It’s important to share your thoughts with someone or at the very least…on paper. Quit holding all those thoughts inside. You experienced how fear can really PHYSICALLY effect you.
Take life one day at a time and realize that you are exactly where you need to be. Your future is going to work out how it’s meant to. Breathe deeply and realize that this incident was nature’s "wake up call" for you to slow down.
Best of luck.

1. Regular exercise is beneficial for preventing panic attacks, as it helps increase the production of ‘feel-good’ chemicals called endorphins in your brain. Aim to do half an hour of exercise a day, such as going for a brisk walk or swimming, to reduce the likelihood of an attack.
2. Yoga is another excellent exercise for a number of reasons. It relaxes tense muscles and helps oxygenate your entire body, which helps calm your mood. Not only that, it also teaches specific breathing techniques that can help ward off a panic attack. For example, diaphragmatic breathing exercises teach you how to regulate your breathing and breathe more deeply. They involve learning how to use your diaphragm muscles – those at the lower end of your ribcage – when you breathe, which helps reduce feelings of anxiety.
3. Then there’s something called ‘Rescue Remedy’. It’s helps in emergency situations when you can’t seem to calm yourself down. This is perfect stuff, you only need 2 sprays on your tongue and it calms you down instantly.
4. Fish oil rich in Omega-3 fatty acids also help, and so do herbal remedies like Bacopa Monnieri and Valerian.
