For those of you who take medication for anxiety/depression/panic attacks?
Did the medication help? Was it a noticeable difference? Do you feel like you aren’t the same person anymore (not in a good way)?
For me the side effects of the medications were worse than the initial ailment.
However, it might not be as bad for you. Discuss it thoroughly with your doctor

I do suffer from depression, anxiety and panic attacks and have for a number of years. The medication does help, but sometimes your body becomes too used to certain medications and the doctor will need to change over to another medication in order to help keep you on track. If something happens in your life that is traumatic for you, it can push you back into the panic attacks. This can also happen if there are underlying medical conditions. In this case again, the medication may need to be changed or the dosage increased. I am still the same person that I was before, only I can deal with stress in a better way and I don’t fly off the handle and get upset over some very insignificant thing. I’m still me, but I feel better. I can sleep now and don’t get up several times a night to wander around my apartment, You have to take your meds regularly and take the proper dosage or you won’t get the right effect. Take heart, you will feel better, but it will take time.

Medication is not solution for anxiety and Panic attacks. Medication will create other health problems and in tern increase Anxiety and Panic attacks in long run.
Practice some relaxation techniques like meditation and yoga. Think positive.
