I have had panic attacks in the past, only 2 and not really sure what caused them, however, when I get nauseous, I get really panicky. I cant stand throwing up, not that anyone does, but it really distresses me. has anyone actually ever had nausea CAUSE a panic attack?? And if so, any advice on how to work through it?? The only thing thats helped me in the past is to get in the car and have my husband drive around for awhile to distract me, but you cant just jump in the car at 2 in the morning to do that when you have 2 kids sleeping in bed. Thanks for your help!

It isn’t your nausea causing your panic attack. It is your reaction to the nausea and your fear of vomiting. It is called emetophobia. I can’t speak from experience on that particular phobia, but it is an anxiety disorder. Talk to your doctor…

Yup.
I dread being sick and loath the physical act of vomiting and when am feeling this way it often triggers panic attack symptoms.
Try mint or ginger tea, this helps to reduce the feelings of nausia and helped me out.
Ginger beer and vodka isnt bad either, as the alcohol can take the edge off the panic attack – but go easy on it.
