how can i ease panic attacks?
recently (after having a stroke) started to suffer panic attacks… racing pulse shortness of breath and a feeling of fullness in my head… this is so scary…
I have tried the paper bag trick… but I need more than that to prevent or stop this happening.
thank you both great answers appreciated
I have panic attacs (age 16). I find that closing my eyes and telling my brain to be quiet and breathing as deeply as i can through my nose and breathing out as quickly as i can through my mouth, I begin to relax. They are very hard to control once the panic has taken over and you may need some practice, but you’ll find the best way that suits you soon. xx

You may want to have a look at cognitive behavioral therapy. There are lots of resources online about it.

i know its difficult but sit in a relaxed position and breath slowly and deeply, in thru your nose and out thru your mouth, it really does work!
