How can I help my partner deal with his anxiety disorder?
My boyfriend was diagnosed with anxiety disorder has a teenager and had been on medication ever since. We have been going out now for 2 years, and as a result of his medication we basically have no sex life. When he stops taking the medication to try to remedy this problem, he suffers serious panic attacks. He is very self conscious about his problem and refuses to discuss it with a doctor. Any advice?
It’s possible to have an intimate relationship, even if he is unable to orgasm. Kissing , hugging, fondling , etc. if he feels under pressure to perform his anxiety levels will rise. Just re-assure him you love him regardless. Be patient and maybe his sex drive will return to some degree, or else his anxiety will improve to the point where he can reduce meds.
