how do i stop panic attacks!!!! Ive been to the Doctor already!!!?
my heart rate was 100 and somthing per second. and i wont stop shakeing. what is? can u help me? i dont want any answers that say "u need to see a docter" unless its serious. i dont want to DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
You have to talk your self out of it!!! If you fell it coming ( I can fell mine coming on) Sit down and talk to yourself. Just say you OK, there is no reason to do this. Just say it over and over. find something that calms you down and focus on that it took me a couple of times but I learned how to talk my self down but you might want to think about taking some thing for anxiety. It may help. Good luck

Sit down and close your eyes. Start visualizing a special place in your mind. Take deep breathes, and calm down. Then I would recommend talking to a doctor or therapist in order to help you work this out. I wish you luck

Don’t worry, Nothing is going to hurt you.
I know for sure. I have panic attacks too. I have them at work constantly and I have to stop everything. Stop my thoughts. Stop my body. Evaluate my current setting.
It’s at that point that I realize that nothing can go wrong. The same applies to you.
If you are at home and having a panic attack alone, please go grab a paper bag and use that for breathing. It’s a small comfort but during a panic attack there is no such thing as too little help.
Keep it together, you are stronger than you think. Cry if you need to. After you are done crying remember, there is still a whole life to live.

I learned something in yoga class that helps me when I start to feel this kind of thing coming on. You don’t have to be in a quiet place, dark room, or anything special to do it. You don’t even have to close your eyes, so it works even if you’re driving, sitting in a meeting, etc.
Just take a long, deep (but normal) breath in and expand that breath slowly down through your chest, into your rib cage, and down into your abdomen. Then when you reach the completely full point of that breath, begin to breath out the same way–slowly (but not excessively so), and push that air out of your chest, out of your rib cage, and out of your abdoman. Then when you hit that point of completely empty hold that and count "One-Mississippi, Two-Mississippi" slowly. Repeat.
See if that doesn’t begin to slow down your nervous system and abort that panic attack. It should, and there’s a physical reason for it. It has to do with the vagus nerve and your brain and your parasympathetic system. My brother is a respiratory therapist, and if he puts a breathing tube in a little wrong, it hits the vagus and the person stops breathing temporarily. When you use your diaphram to affect it, you should notice a reversal of the anxiety. Give yourself a half a minute after you do the second breath/count, and then see if you need to do it for two more. It works. I do it ALL the time. I haven’t had panic attacks for several years, but I’m a real high anxiety person, and I calm myself down a couple of times a day with this technique.
