I am 17, had mine 5 days ago and it won’t get out of my head will it happen again.. so i keep thinking of it and it’s upseting.. so today i got a doctors apointment to tell and explain to him my problems.. so i was wondering how’s that done?

There isn’t an actual test to determine if you are having panic attacks. Your doctor will want to know your symptoms that cause you to feel that you are having them. When we get to the doctors office we are many times nervous and forget important things that can help with a diagnosis. Because he needs to know all it helps to write down everything about your attack the physical and mental symptoms. Unfortunately nobody can tell you if it will happen again. I hope that your doctor will help you>

Just by talking.
I was told what I was experiencing was panic attacks after telling the Dr what was going on. They are scary as all get out, but can be treated.
Good for you for getting help.

Turns out psychiatry is not based on science. Its just like evolutionary theory and a guess. Doctors only practice this theory on the side of being docs. There is no medical background to it at all. Psychiatrists do not draw blood or perform spinal taps to determine the presence of a biochemical imbalance in patients. They merely observe the patients and announce the existence of the imbalances. The purpose is to encourage patients to take drugs.

There is no formal test. I was diagnosed with panic disorder after they ruled out a million other things. I saw a cardiologist, a gastrointestional specialist, etc. Nothing was wrong with me. I finally saw a neurologist who diagnosed me with the disorder. But you can save yourself a lot of time and money by first seeking a psychiatrist who is a medical doctor. Good Luck with that.
