Hey im 16 and lately i have been getting these attacks were my heart randomely beats fast and i feel scared coz i think im getting a heart attack and it keeps pounding hella fast and i begin to feel cold and i tremble i feel like im gona die any minute ?
I got like 3 till now i got one last week and one the week before!
Will they ever go ? or will they haunt me for ever is normal to feel tired the next day after a panic attack and have a headache and feel sleepy ?

That’s called an anxiety attack actually, and I get them and sometimes panic attacks, usually around 3 a month.

See a doctor about them, you could probably get yourself to calm down for them and maybe decrease the severity and frequency. :)

You may need meds to help force your body to calm down, and I dunno if they are triggered by anything, but if so therapy can help you recognize the triggers and understand them.

go talk to a doctor. Panic attacks are scary. Having one in the wrong situation could be bad. I had one while driving and almost got in an accident.

These may or may not be panic attacks. Any cause justifies further investigation. These attacks could be related to a tachycardia attack such as SVT, in which case u will not die (so my doctor assures me) but u will need to take heart medication to try and reduce the symptom and the frequency of the attacks. There r some minor heart procedures that can be done to reduce the effects, but they r a bit hit and miss. Don’t think u r too young, i was younger than u when it happened to me and it was scary cos u do feel like u r going to die.

In the alternative, that there is some other cause, such as Panic attacks, these also need to be investigated. Panic attacks should be followed up swiftly so their cause can be identified and (hopefully) strategies can be put in place to help u deal with them when they arise. There r simple things like controlling your breathing, reassuring your self and relaxing yourself as much as u can, be assertive that u r in control and that u r safe. These techniques and heaps of others do work. Just as a mind is powerful enough to cause physical manifestations from a panic attack, so is it strong enough for u to exercise some control through practiced techniques. The most basic is reminding yourself that u r in control and managing your breathing.

So time to see a GP, either make an appointment, get your parents to make an appointment or inquire how to do so from the school counselor.
be safe, be sage

Panic attacks are mostly caused by stress. Have you had anything happen to you in the recent past the could be causing these attacks? I know it may be hard to do buy you have to do what it takes to calm yourself down. If it is stress related it is your brain that is making you think of all kinds of things that may or might happen. None of these things are real.

When these attacks occur you have to think of things that are real like for instance what time is it, what are your family members names and birthdays, what did you eat so far today. You know things like that. If you do not correct this your brain will start to get set in a pattern every time you get stress and will go into panic mode so to speak.

The panic attacks may also be coming from a medical issue. If you feel that this may be the problem then you have to consult a medical professional. A lot of people on forums and sites like this that have panic attacks are checking out holistic forms of medication instead of prescription medications from a doctor. They feel that the holistic approach is healthier.

Panic attacks give no waring or you can not count on so many of them happening per month. You have to have a battle plan so to speak for whenever you feel like an anxiety attack is coming on. Stick to your plan as you have to be the boss and not let your mind dictate what to think if your attacks are stress related that is.
