I have panic attacks and need help!?
Well i have panic attacks is a long story short. They are getting better but its the eating habit it has gotten me into that i want to stop. Before I still had panic attacks just one night I decided to have a sand which before i went to bed due to the fact I was hungry. Now i have to take something to eat to bed as it is a habit and if i don’t I worry a little. Please help and suggest me some tips. Thanks
Please no harsh comments.
Panic attacks are fairly common…just relax. No one has ever died from one.
If you go to your doctor, they will probably put you on a script of Peroxotine to take daily and a low dose of Xanax to take as needed. These GREATLY help. I hardly ever got any night time attacks once I was on the Peroxotine for a week. If you want to try a natural way, I’m not really good at those. Some people would recommend meditation and St.Johns Wort. Eating certain things before bed can actually trigger these too…If you do have to eat before bed, try sticking with something bland, whole wheats, oatmeal. Also, a glass of warm milk helps tremindously.

You should talk to your doctor. I take an anti-depressant to help with anxiety. He/she may be able to prescribe something to help with the panic attacks.

I believe that panic attacks are irrational responses much the same as a phobia. They are very difficult to control because they defy rational thought processes. You may wish to give Neuro-Linguistic Programming a try. Do a Google search for it. Neuro-Linguistic Programming is kind of like hypnosis and brainwashing combined. The name kind of explains what it is… Linguistic is using language and neuro is your nervous system, including the brain (neurological).
Good luck!
