I need legal help :(?
Ok, I think im about to have an anxiety attack. I’m so confused. I need help against my employer. Legal aid just told me awhile ago, they can’t help me, and the Law students can’t help me. Nobody is able to help me.
I have a Human Rights case against my employer, but they are threatening my job, saying Im dangerous, trying to get me to sign forms for consent to release medical information, demanding to know what medication I take, and now threatening to get lawyers.
No I can’t quit my job, I need money, and I pay 250 a month in medication, for ADHD, Anxiety, and Nocturnal Anxiety/Panic Attacks.
I don’t know where to turn.
Someone please help me.
I live in London, Ontario.
I can’t afford a lawyer, and seems like no government agency wants to help. What the hell do I do?
I can’t fight a big corporation myself. I know I know, just quit, I would if it were that easy, but I have bills to pay.

I know in America they cannot fire you if you have a medical condition and are taking treatment for it. That is, if they want to fire you for what you are on treatment for. It is illegal for them to fire you for that same condition.
Not sure what the rights are in Canada, but here they don’t have to have an excuse to fire you, but if they know you have a probelm then they can’t fire you.
Not sure if this helps, maybe you can get a free consultation with a lawyer there like we do here.

What particular statute of Human Rights is your grounds for seeking redress from your current employer? Sounds like you are in an "overkill" mode when it appears that your employer is seeking personal medical info for insurance purposes only. Your current medication state may be running amuck at this time and you need to calmly review your options. The best advice is to provide the requested medical info to your employer and continue advancing in your present job.
Good luck!

In the U.S. we have the Americans with Disability Act which helps protect people from being fired for medical reasons. Perhaps you have a similar law there. If they fire you, a lawyer would probably help you sue them under this act and he takes part of the settlement as his fee.
