I think i am having a panic attack?
Out of nowhere my heart started beating fast and my throat got tight and made me feel like i had to gag almost. this set me off even further because i have a phobia for throwing up. i started getting shaky and i got nausea. i don’t know what caused it. i am still shaky and im trying to calm down but i am worrying i will get sick. how can i get my mind off of this? and is THIS a panic attack or something else? thanks
and can panic attacks really come quickly? i was honestly fine just a minute before hand.
Yes, it seems like you are suffering from panic attacks.
You need to understand that panic attack can strike anytime, anywhere and very often the trigger is not apparent at all. One moment you’re watching TV and in the next moment, you struck by a barrage of frightening and uncomfortable symptoms and you are convinced that something terrible is going to happen to you there and then. This is panic attack!
Panic attack can also escalate and worsen if you…well…panic even more! Most panic attack sufferers are afraid of these feelings and they become very anxious when it hits them. "Am I going to die?”, "What is happening to me!”, "Why am I feeling this way!"…you need to understand that these anxious and panicky feelings will only serve to accelerate panic attacks and make you feel even worse. This vicious cycle feeds off themselves and this is really what panic attack is all about – afraid of being afraid.

Panic attacks are triggered when you see, hear or experience something. Try controlled breathing so you can get more oxygen into your brain.
Take care,
