Give me some techniques to calm down please…I have some Xanax in case i need it…ive never taken XANAX before…will it help me?
I already called my mom boyfriend and aunt..its getting better now…i had one becuase my mom left this morning and went out of town for a week. that made me nervous…we re NEVR apart. Plus I havent had my period yet…which worries me…i got my period which is GREAT. I considering taking my xanax….to take the edge off…I never taken it before..should I?

Try mentally telling yourself "STOP" to get the thoughts that are giving you problems to cease. You may have to do this several times, and even do it out loud if you have the privacy available to do so. Distracting yourself by using calm music, breathing slowly and deeply, and finding something enjoyable to do will help you as well. If you have a good friend that you can call and talk to, do that. Xanax will help you, but use this as your last resort and try to build your coping skills first. Xanax has been used quite widely for panic attacks but you must know that if used too often and for too long, it has addictive properties and could be more harmful in the long run if you depend on it rather than yourself to get through the panic attacks. Hopefully, you have a therapist or some other professional that can help you learn more techniques to get through the panic attacks.

Try breathing deep and slow sit in a calm place and maybe write down whats causing your panic and thow it in the bin. Just try and concentrate on something else. Find out what your ‘triggers’ are and avoid those things that make you panic x

You could try choosing an affirmation, such as ‘I am safe, I am safe’ and repeating it, you could try thework.com or you could sign up for the free emails from the panicaway website.x

the very effort you make to banish it and avoid it actually energizes it and makes it stronger, so allowing and even willingly experiencing it has a wise logic to it

We know what you must be going through at the moment, but remember that it is in your hands to not give in to fear. I used to have panic disorder, I went to see a psychiatrist which put me on cipralex. I didn’t have any panic after Day1. Xanax is a temporary solution. What you can do at the moment is to increase your coping skills. I remember that letting those bad feelings flow through me, not trying to beat them back or search for a way out always worked for me. However you could benefit from seeing a psychiatrist. Research shows that up to %70 of people who keeps taking their medication(antidepressants) get free of panic attacks.
Furthermore, I strongly recommend some herbal remedies which are effective and non addictive such as l-theanine, GABA, rhodiola.
I hope you get better soon.
