I’m ready to move, but keep having horrible nightmares and panic attacks. Help?Advice?
I am ready to move, once again. But I have horrible nightmares and panic attacks about my flight. Does anyone know how to cope or overcome fears or flight or panic attacks. I also continue having horrible nightmares in which my family is put in danger. I’m just lost, confused and scared to move (in both physical senses, if that makes sense). Any advice welcome.

Hi Anna!
I had the same problem and fortunately im happy to say that i dont have any panic attacks any more. Everything is in the mind.. It helps me a lot to talk with people with the same problem, and spending many hours for almost 18 months to read books regarding the problem and solution of panic attack. Dont avoid social situations because of panic attacks. U can resolve it step by step-having a diary it also helps you remembeing what you acquited in every situation and where do u have to try more. U can alos read books about self esteem and remember:
i can is more important than iq!!
If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will.
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are out classed, you are.
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of your-self before
You can ever win the prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
BUT SOONER OR LATER THE MAN WHO WINS IS THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN.

I’ve dealt w panic and anxiety most of my life – i’m naturally just an anxious person. Maybe try to start with the one question – "what are you the most scared of that’s causing you to freak out?" for me i was having panic attacks about passing out and scaring people or something. The only thing that really helped was to EXPOSE yourself to these situations so you don’t get freaked out as much.. your imagination of flying on an airplane is probably not as scary as actually doing it – our mind makes up much more complex and crazy scenerios. for awhile shopping malls really scared me, but the only way I got over them was to actually go and expose myself to large crowds and stuff. Sorry I dont have a magical answer – but thats just my own experience.
