Is it wrong that I called into work cause I had a huge panic attack?
It has lasted for over 4 hours. And it suuuuuuuucks.
I never really miss work, but i could barely talk.
Maybe I just naturally feel guilty.
I wish it would go away…ugh!? Anyone else missed work cause of an attack?
I so sorry that you had to go throgh that. Your employer wants you to be a productive and healthy member of its work force. The reason that you have sick days is so that you can call in when you are not up to par. Please don’t feel guilty. You used the day exactly what is was intended for. To destress and heal. Take some deep breaths and focus on a point across the room from you. Perhaps even light a single candle and use that as a focal point and do a series of slow breaths. This will help you to relax. I hope that you feel better soon.

It’s not wrong. If you are in a state of emotional distress, it would be very hard for anyone to think rationally enough to work.

I’ve had that before and my friend’s mother had it as well.
If you feel you can’t bare to stay at work, then you did the right thing…I would’ve called off as well because panic attacks are nothing to mess with.
