Is Lexapro a bad drug?

I’m taking Lexapro right now for treating my panic-attacks and anxiety and was wondering if it acts in the opposite way ecstasy does? I heard it holds in your serotonin. Is that like ecstasy? What would this do to me? I have constant fears of things like I am going to die and paranoid of little things. How does this medication work to counter that? I don’t want to be on a drug that alters/damages my brain permanently. I used to be on Geodon (for only 3-4 months) and I think that really affected my brain chemistry even up to now because it made me become more lax and care-free. Now, however, that care-free blanket has come off and replaced by paranoia and anxiety. How can this be? I’m 19 so is it that my body’s changing? Is medication the answer?

pills change your natural body hormones and natural chemicals in your brain, usually people with natural depression have lesser amounts of serotonin in the brain then someone who doesnt have depresion,
the pills you take help you produce more serotonin, or do something with the brain involving serotonin
it doesnt work opposite of ecstasy, it works one step ahead of ecstasy, ecstasy spills all your serotonin into your brain, and the pills you take just make the serotonin
serotonin is good it makes you feel good, its the one of the major parts in your system it controls mood, sleep, apetite, sexual ability and desire, depression and weight control,
the reason why u have anxiety now is because your naturally supposed to have it, theres somehing wrong with your brain so you need to take the pills to be normal, lol not trying to be mean those are just simplier words, well good luck
also ecstasy helps with anxiety so maybe you should get your hands on some :)
