I started with panic attacks when I was 24 and now I am 65. I’ve seen many drs. and therapists. I take Xanax and Zoloft, but in spite of this I still have them, mostly when I drive especially when I am by myself. I was molested in a car when I was 11, could there be a connection.

There is always hope for panic and anxiety sufferers.

I’ve been recommending an eBook to people with these problems. It’s a relatively new program that that teaches people the root of their anxiety and helps them get rid of the fear which causes the anxiety and the panic attacks. It’s a natural method without the need for drugs and expensive therapy. It’s a pretty cheap one-time cost for the eBook and audio CD’s. Over 27,000 people have already reported having great results from the program. You can get more information and see videos and testimontials from this site: http://tlebeau.panicaway.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=YANSWERS
I hope this can help you. Take care.

yes there is hope i am only sorry you have suffered so long. vertain type pf therapists deal with anxiety/panic attacks/depression.obsessive disorders and its possible you havent found the right therapist for you. You need to see a CBT trained therapist. It is possible that there is a connection but again the right therapist would deal with this for you. here you would need a therapist who deals with psycodynamic therapy. There are many therapist out there who are trained in CBT and psychodynamics and person centred. so you only need to find one. try the website http://www.bacp.co.uk and you can find a therapist near you, no matter if your in the uk or not. you can find out all sorts of information on that therapist or counsellor as we are more commonly known as. Good luck

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI – Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There’s this herb called "St John’s Wort" – it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John’s Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.
If you’re unable to take St John’s Wort, you can substitute it with Siberian Ginseng or Licorice Herb.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced… you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior – Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction… There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to….
