Is this a panic attack, or stress/depression?
All of the sudden I just started to feel really weak and lighteaded. Even lifting my arms seemed like it took a lot of effort. I do have panic attacks occasionally, but the symptoms seem to always be different. sometimes my vision blurs, sometimes my breath gets shallow and shortened, and sometimes i feel sick.
I am diabetic. It just felt like an out of body experience, and no my blood sugar was fine. I tried my blood pressure before and it was fine too.
i don’t know if depression can make you feel lightheaded, but i think you’re lacking in vitamin B12 and iron. iron deficiency can cause the weakness and lightheadedness because you aren’t producing enough red blood cells. vitamin B12 is what stimulates endorphins that make you feel happy if you’re feeling like you may be depressed.

If you are on medication have your dosage checked out, check out your diet and increase your water intake. get more fresh air.

A panic attack generally makes a persons heart pound and the person has this over whelming feeling that comes over them and they become gripped by fear and feel that they are going to die. Often they feel paralyzed by the fear and cannot speak or think clearly. It comes on very suddenly and leaves after a few minutes. Although the symptoms may differ, I think it best that you talk to your doctor. What you are describing here may be something more than panic attacks. I hope things work out for you. God Bless!

Symptoms can vary. Rapid heartbeat. Being stuck in the middle of a room and can’t move. A feeling that you are walking through wet cement. Xanax works for panic disorder specifically but it is very addictive. Try a support group. Helped me a lot.
Sometimes panic attacks are due to a situation in life-they will go away when the problem is resolved.
Breathe deep & slow and tell yourself that you are not going to die. It will pass.

it could definatly be a panic attack. i know when i have them they like to change on me. one is when my arms get tingly and that means that you are getting to much oxygen in your body. one thing to try is a glass of ice water and drink it. then blow all the old air out of your lungs through your nose, then take a deep breath in through your nose and hold it and count to three and then breathe out through your mouth. do that a couple of times and see if that makes you feel better. this was recomended by my therapist. hope that this helps

The best thing is to visit a doctor. Don’t try your own and your friend’s fundas.

I have panic attacks and PTSD. Doesn’t sound like a panic attack to me. I think you need to go for a complete physical check up….esp. your blood. Just get EVERTHING checked. (by an M.D. ..not a psychiatrist) Like someone said….if you’re taking medicine..that could be a reaction or side effect. Tell your family dr. soon. Good Luck.PS…Yes..like she said…could be blood pressure too. You could be on the verge of a stroke. Don’t want to scare you…just GO TO THE DR… then you won’t have to worry about it..

See panic attacks, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 8. Get a complete medical checkup. Possible allergic reaction (food?). Consider modifying your diet, in accordance with Dr. Mercola’s dietary plan, at http://www.mercola.com/

Depression leads people to stress and to panic attacks…or stress can lead you to depression and cause you to have panic attacks. Depression has many symptoms.. Many people with depression are always tired and even a little movement in their body seems like a big deal to them.I’m not sure about the vision blurs, but I think that can be due to many pro blames and stress can cause it…….Tell your Doctor about this, that is the first thing that you should do. Don’t keep this to yourself, because it can get worse and you wont be able to control it. But for me to tell you if you are depressed , stress out or having panic attacks. You have to give me more info and details about your systems and then I can try to figure out what it is… When you go to the Doctors they will ask you for more details, is not enough…..
I want to help …

Doesn’t seem like a panic attack. Might be low blood sugar. Go drink a glass of orange juice (or coke, or whatever). Have some water too.
You really should see a doctor about it.
