My episodes seem to come out of nowhere; one minute I’m fine, watching tv everything’s good and then BAM! I’m overcome with worry and fear. Please help!

Yes. I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Its hard for me to control my anxiety, especially now as I am expecting a baby and cannot take medication. Anxiety is when you are overcome with excessive worry and fear over nothing. You may fret about your health, like I do, or money/finances, work, etc. I fear every ache and twinge in my body to be something life threatening. I get weird feelings in my head, like tension, and I get scared that I’m going to pass out and then I have an anxiety/panic attack. Is it accompanied by fast pulse, palpitations, shortness of breath? If so, it is definitley an attack. If you just become worried and fearful, it is probably just plain ol’ anxiety. I suggest talking to a doctor about it and see if they can give you some pointers, or if you feel it is disrupting your days, they can give you medication to help relax you and send you back to your normal state for at least a while.. Good luck but know that it cannot hurt you, you may feel as if you are dying but you are not!!

Yes, I have had ones where I am sitting down fine and then this rush of fear comes over me and I start freaking out. You should talk to your dr b/c you can get help for them before it gets to out of control.

Yes, mine used to come from out of the blue. Nothing in particular scary at the moment then I’m gasping for air and head is spinning and it feels like youre going to die. Scary!
