I had a court case and i was going to court. Then i stopped going so they wanted to put me in jail. But my then my therapist found out i had agoraphobia. So the court has been really easy on me.Last time i went to cour the judge said it was okay for me to stay home schooled due to my panic attacks. But know the school district took away my home school and sent me to a small school. Now they want to me to go but the judge saidhome schooll was okay and it’s really hard for me to go to school due to my panic disorder. The school district said if idon’tt go they will put me in jail. What should i do?

Have the judge and your doctor write a letter you can present to the school. Please do this with a goal of being able to get out by working through therapy. Don’t let the panic control your life.

If your doctor and the judge both agree that at this time he should stay home to be schooled, then you should have no problem. You would need to present this official documentation to the school. As all of the information been provided to the school system? If not, maybe this is why they are acting like this.

If you ever ridden court order in documentation from your Dr., you should be okay. The school cannot discriminate against you because of a mental or physical condition. There are state and federal laws against this.

I also agree that if you have agoraphobia, you need to be in therapy and/or medication and working to overcome this this order. This can be a debilitating disorder as it keeps you from never wanting to leave your house and you do not want to end up using it as a crutch in order to stay in your house.

Panic attacks are controllable with medication and even therapy. If you’re treatment is staying at home in conjunction with medication and/or counseling, that is a start.

Just make sure everything is documented and you are seeking help and your goal is to work on your panic attacks and get out of the house more often, then you will be okay!
