Sh ehas been staying at my house and other friends houses. She keeps making excuses on why she does not want to go back home. I told her that I could no longer have her stay at my house because she needs to face her fear. Do you all think I did the right thing? I love her but I want her to overcome her fear.

I treat people with panic attacks and have also experienced them. I would say that there is more going on at home than her having one panic attack there. See if she will open up to you, or agree to talk to someone about it. I think you did the right thing if it’s because of one panic attack, but as her friend try to find out what else is going on. If it’s dangerous at her house, then someone needs to know, and maybe other family will let her stay with them. In my experience, I’m sure there is something else going on there, even if it’s just her not getting along with her parents.

What is her home like? Maybe she is scared of her parents. I would call some one to make sure all is well

Panic attacks vary. The best advice is for her to see a Doctor. Because they never really leave a person. Some people just panic more than others. It’s learning how to try and control them.

I’ve suffered from panic attacks, although i’m young and didn’t go to the doctor… The advice is that you should go. Check out some websites about the symptoms.

tell your friend that what she should do is have somebody there in the house and have her speak of what she feels and by here speaking her thoughts then she will be able to find out what should be done.
