Nervous breakdown/panic attack/anxiety – How should be my approach to life?
Believers sometimes have advantage of relying on some supernatural entity in times of crisis. Whether supernatural entity exist of not in reality but their believe works by giving some peace to mind. They have some earth to stand in times of crisis. But atheist don’t have any such mental support during crises. If i accept god then i feel i am deceiving myself as i dont have believe in HIM. If i dont believe in god i am faced with lot of questions about life problems. Please help..
For past 2 yrs i am staying alone, i never experienced panic attack. I am much interested in philosophy and universe. I am neither theist nor atheist, but most of the time i am inclined towards athiesm. Am unable to find answers to some of my basic question about life. Since last one month i developed interest in documentaries videos. I watched documentaries on people( Cantor) who tried to understand infinity and committed suicide as they neither couldn’t solve it nor leave it. After returning home from office I used to sit in front of computer for long hours at night, download documentaries and kept on watching on after another. I did this nearly for a month loosing much of the sleep and almost skipping my food at regular time. One morning at 3 AM, when i was working in office i got slight pain in body, then cramps. I ignored it and kept on working. Then slightly i started getting fear which gradually turned to panic attack. In that panic state i feel am totally lost in this infinite universe. I feel directionless, disoriented, and totally helpless. I was unable to get normal sleep for a week. I was so desperate to have sleep that i went to medical shop to get sleeping tables(for past 5 years i haven’t taken a single medicine).
Stop fretting so much on the meaning of life. Turn off you computer and go out and experience life. Eat well, exercise, talk to real people, and enjoy yourself. You are taking things way too seriously. If you obsess over things you will only scare yourself into neurosis.
Interacting with real people is a great way to find out what you believe, and give you life meaning.
Be well. Be happy.

That is the problem I find with advanced philosophy. If the true point of life is peace, then how can peace be achieved in this world? This world is very messed up. Some philosophers try to express a love for people, but you’ve been brainwashed by this society and have become disillusioned with life itself. I hate to say it, but going to a church actually feels good because everyone is positive and has love.
Life itself is really depressing unless you embrace people in your life. Perhaps you are truly upset about something else you won’t admit or you haven’t learned, figured out yet. For that single reason, to find inner peace and happiness, I will stay alive and I hope you will too.

Hmm, well panic attacks often occur by some trigger, whether environmental or physiological. So first I would recommend seeing a psychologist specializing in Panic disorders and Anxiety (That’s what I’m studying
) Anyways, she’ll do some type of treatment, probably exposure like and she/he will get rid of your idea of what causes a panic attack and also cope with what you feel what will happen when you get one (Often people feel they won’t be able to stand up straight so they immediately sit down, which in turn is a coping mechanism which they will get rid of). You’re life should be very okay. Panic Treatment can be very treatable and the prognosis is very good. Don’t worry about it, panic attack is one of the most common disorders. For sure though you need to see a psychologist. Appreciate the vote for best answer if you decide to do so.
