Panic attack medications?
wondering what people take for panic attacks… i have been prescribed benzos but haven’t had much relief. what else is there to take prn?
You may be able to get your doc to give buspar.
Sometimes it gives a little more anxiety for a very few minutes, then it levels out and is ok for hours.
You will probably have to prove responsibility, but it’s not a street drug the way that benzo’s are so they aren’t as tricky for your head, with addiction or being monitored.
Benzo’s work for awhile, but when they don’t, I’ve taken this for periods of time with remarkable results.
best of luck.

Panic attacks are caused from fear and what needs to be taken is a dose of finding out why one goes into this, which only the individual knows. Underneath a panic attack are thoughts, just prior to and this is what needs addressed, not more medication. Meds mask the symptoms only, but the reason still remains and always returns. Writing about ones feelings is the way into the fears, and the way out. While medicine is good for instant relief that allows us to search the reasons behind this disorder, it is not the long term solution, nor is it a safe one for extended periods of time. Do some introspection, meditation’s, reading self help books on this disorder and if necessary talk with a counsellor. Your mind, body and spirit will thank you. Take care and good mental health

Medication may used in the short-term to relieve severe anxiety and panic attack symptoms so that other forms of therapy can be pursued. It can help to alleviate anxiety symptoms, but is not a long-term solution. Medication can mask the bad feelings but it can’t eliminate it. Medications are often prescribed to relieve the physical and psychological symptoms of anxiety.
Here is a good natural alternative to medication. It’s proven and hundred of users can prove that.Check their website at http://sturly.com/zt3
