Panic Attack on Marijuana?
Ok so ive been smoking weed for a long time now and then suddenly i had a severe panic attack from it, ever since then i havnt been able to smoke barely any without getting a little paranoid, and i also noticed its made me sensitive to certain sounds when i hear them they scare me every time even when i kno what im hearing it still scares me a little. What caused this and how can i get it to go away? And i dont want to hear any stupid answers like dont smoke in the first place because that wont help me at all…im not a time traveler…
you should quit, and the laws should be more strict against it

Your weed might have been laced with some form of insecticide, herbicide or other illegal drug and this could induce paranoia, among other health problems. The only way to find out if it was what you smoked is throw the rest of the bag away and then do not smoke for about six months to see if your paranoia subsides. It will take that long to work it’s way out of your system. Sorry you probably don’t like the answer, but it sounds like you smoked some tainted weed.

Yes, being a long-term pot smoker can cause you to develop certain anxiety related tics, anxiety attacks among them. One thing that used to particularly do it for me was driving at night when high. I would be nearly sick by the time I got somewhere.
Dry out for at least three months. It would even be okay to start restricting your pot smoking to particular times and criteria, effectively saving it for the weekends or similar off time. Daily is still no good. I say dry out though, because most of us (I say us) aren’t all that disciplined when it comes to having a sack just sittin around.
After a little dry out (this may involve extra hobbies) you still want to stay away from daily smokage. Goodness knows I won’t say pot is oh bad bad bad. But, just like anything else, if it is part of your daily habit, then it does do all those terrible things they say it does.
Recreational drugs are something that, if you’re gonna do it, you have to also not do it. Moderation, time and place. It is the not doing it that makes the doing it valuable.

this is a common side effect of heavy marijuana usage…unfortunately the best thing to do is to give up the old weed because it will continue to trigger the attacks…happened to me to. Trust me, once its gone you wont miss it. There are plenty of other ways to have fun and enjoy yourself. It would also be a good time to limit your alcohol usage, because heavy alcohol use can cause anxiety the following day. Hope this helps and I hope you can find a way to have a good time that doesnt involve escapism. If you still need a bit of social crutch try a few beers.
