Hello, welcome.
It’s hard for me to find a horror movie that really scares me. I laughed all the way through Silent Hill. I was told it was scary. I laughed through Chuckie, The Ring, the Hills Have Eyes etc.
You’re taking some pretty strong medication. I’m a cardiac assistant and work at a hospital. You should talk to your doctor about why you are having panic attacks. Something is triggering them. Perhaps something violent happened to you when you were young that frightened you so that you blocked it out and seeing these things triggers a response from your unconsciousness.

Find out exactly what is causing the panic attacks. I think you are subconsciously connecting or relating Anime with Horror films. Also you can try to control your panic attacks while watching by pulling your self away emotionally. If the panic attacks include seizures or headaches then the light frequency of the Anime may be the cause. This occurs in a small percent of the population. I would see a psychologist for techniques on dealing with these issues. Also to check and see if you need to be medicated at all. Most panic attacks can be controlled without medication.

Most panic attacks have an associating with something else in your life. You may not be able to put the real sources for your panic attacks together though. That is nothing to worry about.
You can take control of your panic attacks by being a good student of the subject and make yourself aware that you have panic attacks.
