Today, I just could not sleep, either I was too hot or cold or my ear was in pain, so I had my dad wake up to help give my ear medicine/advil. Before that, I was eating cereal, I mean gulping it down fast and I started to feel real nausesous, ( I was eating breakfast with my dad ) before I was to take my advil for swimmer’s ear (kept me up for 3 nights) and im using antibiotic drops for that (idk how i got that when I don’t swim, probalily because I scratch my ear too much). Anyway I told my dad I needed to lay down quickly because I felt I would vomit my insides out, I then became incresingly tired/dizzy/overwhelmed and thought that a couch was right beside me, then I really didn’t care how hard I landed I just needed to lay down, so I bumped my knee on a table and fell onto the carpet, back first, which hurt real bad. I wasn’t blacked out or anything. My dad asked me if I was alright, but I wasn’t because I felt chills, nausea, the sensation to cry, I was shaking/trembling, heart rate jumped quite a bit, scared of what happened if I collapsed because of shock or a seizure or overwhelming nausea or something worse. I then went to the bathroom where I started sweating profusely, became pale faced, pupils were not dilated however, while taking real deep breaths. Then I "used" the bathroom and all the sensations went away, but the sweating lasted about a minute more. I am starting to become somewhat nausesous once again but thats it. Did I have a panic attack or did my body just react to what happened as if it were severe or do I just need to get some sleep, (i’ve only gotten a couple hours sleep at most for 3 nights, while waking up several times due to ear pain) Also I started to feel dizzy/overwhelmed while sitting down. My family (the male side) has had a history of panic attacks. and I have no past history of significant health problems, well except sleep problems, and they’ve just been horrible the last 3 days. Please help me I am really concerned.

I wouldn’t be concerned that anything life threatening is going on. Though, yes, it sounds like it is a bit of all of the things you question.

Your ear infection can and is likely disturbing your balance and creating some dizziness — as the vestibular system is one of our three systems of balance, and very important.

The sleep deprivation also contributes to general clumsiness, mental clouding, and over reacting. Lack of sleep makes you emotional, irritable, thus you become fearful, over-react, etc.

You need a good sleep first and foremost.

The ear infection needs to heal as soon as possible, and the lack of sleep isn’t helping.

The nausea can be from the panic or the ear problem. Again our vestibular system is responsible for balance — with a disturbance, such as an infection.. it creates vertigo/dizziness — which in turn creates nausea. Panic which is likely further induced by lack of sleep contributes to the whole process.

If your ear infection doesn’t resolve soon, I would reconsult with your physician — Explain your difficulty sleeping, and what has occurred,..

Feel better,

You should go see your dr, the symptoms you described could be from many things so the best thing to do is call your doctor.

One problem with panic attacks is that once you have one it is easier to have others. The more panic attacks you have the more the chemicals from the attacks get used to running through your SYSTEM. When you feel like you are having a panic attack get up and go outside and walk around and breathe. While you are pacing and breathing count in your head. Sometimes counting by threes makes my attacks stop faster.

When I have panic attacks I feel like I have stomach symptoms but never actually have to "go", but if you had cereal before then it could be a panic attack/actual stomach thing.
