Quickest way to calm someone that is having a panic attack?
We have a young girl at work that doesn’t want to be on medication (I can’t blame her), and she has several panic attacks each month. What is the quickest way to calm her, is there a tea or a vitamin or music?
Here’s some on line advice sites.

Deep, slow breaths might help.

I would suggest staying away from caffeine beverages, they could be the source of the problem. Try to calm her down. Tell to go a happy place in her mind. Take some time off away from work if she can afford to. Take a vacation for a week or two. Id ask her what triggers her panic attacks and if there is anything you can do for her if she wants to be open about. Tell to seek help as in clergyman, medical help.

I remember this fantastic cure:

And for a quick remedy:
I believe a simple cup of peppermint tea would be just fine (no sugar). Not only is it soothing but it serves as an aromatherapy as well.

Besides beathing slowly she can count backwards or if she know s a poem or a prayer keep repeating it in her mind over, and over or sing a song over it works but depending how long they last meds. are a better answer Xannax can relieve one in less than 5min on an empty stomach.

been there but mine would finally last up to hours so… meds. were the only way.

Been there over and over again. Ativan is something she needs to consider. When I saw a therapist , she told me grab some ice and squeeze it in your hands hard. it is so cold you can’t ignore it and your brain kind of switches focus from panicking to "cold, cold, cold". it helps.
but truthfully she needs an ativan. it won’t put her to sleep it will just get her calm and functioning again.

when i was in the hopsital because i had bad panic attacks
what you are suppose to do is try to take the persons mind off of whatever is bothering them, slow deep breaths, and try to focus on something that is happening that moment. (ex. stare at a flower or something)
