Still reeling from panic attack.?
So last night I had my first panic attack. It was terrifying. I was shaking for a good two hours afterward. It initially came from too much coffee & drinking three beers a few hours later. Anyway, I had the panic attack on Suday, it’s now midday tues, I’m still anxious. I think I’ve been traumatized. I have no medical insurance so I can’t get something like Xanax, though I’m wondering what others experiences with it or similar meds has been, and how much a usual perscription costs? And Any recommendations on how I can naturally get over this?
Why Xanax?…you probably don’t need that unless you have them constantly, even then probably wouldnt use that. I have Panic Disorder and used to have 2-3 panic attacks a day…I am on a regimen of Zoloft, and Ativan(lorazepam)…the zoloft im not sure i need…but lorazepam if you can get a scrip works pretty quick to kill the panic and you cant overdose on it…..very addicting though

I know exactly how you feel too! Mine have been getting worse lately. I think it’s stress bringing it on. I went onto WebMD.com and looked up panic attacks. They had some good advice that calmed me down right away. First of all, they said most people that have panic attacks will take comfort right away in knowing that they "will not die". I think it’s that feeling of certain death that make me more anxious. Go to the website and see if it helps you. There is also some breathing exercise on there as well.

There are several natural stress relievers on the market. Go to a good Nutrition shop such as GNC and ask them what they have. You may have to try several different things before you find one that works for you. My husband Had panic attacks and they were horrible. He went through 3 doctors and 5 antidepressants and 4 anti-panic drugs plus several otc meds before he got it right. He hasn’t had an attack in over a year. He was having them sometimes more than once a day. Good luck.

Panic attacks are sooooooooooo scary! If you can get over it without medication that is awesome.
I would recommend Vitamin B, lots of water and some sunshine. Breath. Talk it out. Get in a comfy chair or a cozy place and soak up some sun. Also a nice walk would be good or a nap, but don’t get depressed and crawl in a hole and sleep.
I’ve also used prayer and scriptures to get over a panic attack. It really has worked.
