I have Acid Reflux for about 7 years now, absent from school long periods at a time, I’m 17 and I was recently diagnosed with Anxiety and Panic Attacks. Unfortunatly, Panic Attacks are hereditry (sp?), which I get from my mom and the nervous stomach, Acid Reflux from my dad’s side of family. To top it all off, which triggers BOTH is that I’m stressed to the max (school, colleges, family…..the works!) Any advice would be MUCH appreciated :)

I’ve been there myself and I’m sorry you’re having do deal with this. I know it sucks. The only thing that worked for me is exercise. Seriously get up and move doesn’t have to be strenious (sp?) just walking helped me. I know it sounds crazy but it really works. Good luck and hang in there.

When I start getting an attack I do math in my head. Like ok this is only going to last say 15 minutes so thats only 1/96 of a day… Ill figure it out to the second if I have to just to keep my mind busy…even if im wrong it just passes the time.
It keeps my mind occupied till the fear passes

Just learn your triggers and for a bit till you can get it under control try to avoid them. Mine was always sunset …that time of day when the fading light plays with your eyes. So for a time I just went inside then waited the 15 mins or so till the sun was all the way down then finished what I was doing. Its an inconvience but if it helps you learn to deal its not so bad.

I dont know how to help acid reflux though sorry …may some relaxation techniques to help overall.
good luck and I hope you feel better and get it under control soon.
