Were these panic attacks?
I don’t know why, but I was just thinking about waking up in my sleep a few years ago terrified. The odd thing was, my dreams weren’t even relevantly scary. I know one dream was about how I had a deck of cards and they couldn’t be split evenly and another I was losing in a game of mini gold. Both times I woke up half asleep terrified I would get into deep trouble for what I had done. I remember very vaguely that I was (in real life) speed walking through my house with heavy breathing and then my mom had to shake me to get me to come to reality. All this time I was having a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I was going to throw up, the kind of feeling when you’ve done something very wrong. So since my breathing was heavy and fast was I sleep walking while having a panic attack? Is that even possible?
Yes sounds like a panic attack all right. Yes it is possible my ex once wrenched his back in the night damaging a disk by turning over to grab me when he dreamed I was falling – sleep isnt always just a passive letting go.

It is possible as long as anything troubles you.
