What are these symptoms? Panic attack?

My boyfriend described this thing that has happened to him a few times he said:
-a pain starts in his chest and radiates down his arm(his left, I think)
-his face becomes numb
-looses vision in one eye, blurry vision in the other

Could it be from stress? Or because he is really skinny? Because he’s out of shape(one time was during striking a set and the other the day after dancing at prom)?

One doctor told him he was fine… but that doesn’t sound ‘fine’ to me…

right before a heart attack your left arm supposedly becomes numb. The numb face and lost vision almost sounds a little like a stroke. I think something is seriously wrong. Talk to some other doctors and get some more opinions.

it sounds like a heart attack but it could be something to do with nerves and the brain

That definitely sounds like a panic attack. I know you said that it doesn’t sound fine like your doctor said, but trust me, he is fine. Panic attacks won’t hurt you even though they seem like they will. A lot of people call 911 and get sent to the hospital because they are so sure they are having a heart attack and going to die, only to find out that there is nothing physically wrong with them. It’s anxiety, a lot of people get this. If he’s constantly worried about having another attack it can bring on another attack.

How much sleep does he get? How healthy is his diet? What kind of stress does he have? It could be anything from these questions. If he is worried about all the time, then part of it might be panic.

Best wishes!
