What can I do for my agoraphobia/panic attacks?
I do not want to take any anti-depressants, I have tried them and I can’t get past the side effects. I would like to find a way to manage this naturally. It’s pretty severe put I push through it every day, I won’t let it control my life. Does anyone have any experiences that they may want to share. I am leaving for FL in 8 weeks and I would love to be feeling better. This has been going on for 4 years. I am a 26 yo Female.
Thank you for any help you can give!
I don’t have agorophobia, but i have an extreme fear of insects. Believe it or not, this helped me some. I put an elastic on my wrist, and when I started feeling panicky about an insect being near me, I would gently snap it and concentrate on the feeling as i walked away. I would really concentrate and that way I could deal with the fact that a bug was nearby. Some days my wrist would be red because I would panic some and snap too hard, but it did get me through. Now, I just need to feel the elastic, and just walk in a different direction. I know this sounds dumb but it helped me, so maybe this will help you. Good luck.

Hi. I am a clinical hypnotherapist and I would just like some more information. The panic attacks are they caused by your agoraphobia or are they independent and occur on their own? Second you can reach me on from my website at http://www.ednhypnotherapy.com or on SKYPE kevin.wolchansky to help you with your phobia.

you might find being in a different place will be a lot easier on you. i also suffer from agoraphobia and panic attacks and will go through stages where i won’t leave the house for months, but will manage to book an interstate holiday and be fine once i’m out of the state.
do you know any physical relaxation techniques? or visualisations? i also find that if i put classical music on my ipod when i HAVE to go out helps a great deal. if you ever wanna talk or share tips msg me
