What could cause someone 80 years old to have a slight panic attack, night sweat, loss of hunger, stress?
Sometimes a certain smell can bring on a moment of panic.
Panic attacks can cause a variety of symptoms, if even a certain smell brings on a panic attack for you, then they are not "slight’ panic attacks..be sure to talk to your doctor about this as soon as possible..Take Care….

Hi
Panic attacks are strange things. I suffered from them myself for many years and at the time had no idea what started them.
Basically anxiety plays a part and the associated physical reactions can actually trigger a panic attack, a sort of snowball affect.
I have written a web page about anxiety disorders including panic attacks which should be able to explain further.
