What do you feel during a panic attack & after that ? What medications do you take ?
Actually I’ve panic attacks and trust me that it doesn’t feel good either after the attack. I had previously more than 5 attacks one day and after that I feel too dependent for almost a whole week. I feel without respiration and start like to make a regression from the past. It’s terrible, because it is like I can’t move, I feel nausea, stomach and I can’t see people. It is like someone is gonna hurt me or else … I don’t know. There’re too many differences in panic attacks disorders. What do you feel? and What medication are you taking? work good?

I work as a psych nurse. Typical anxiety attacks begin with a sense of impending doom, escalating into shortness of breath, increased heart rate, dizzyness, sweating, etc. I had one and it was horrible. I thought I was having a heart attack-I had the shortness of breath with chest pain. It felt like someone was holding a gun to my head.
Klonopin is excellent for panic, as is Xanax. However, it is easy to become dependent on xanax. It works very quickly. Sometimes all you need is an antidepressant with calming abilities.
See a psychiatrist, not your family doc, to get on the correct med/medications.
Deep breathing exercises, meditation are also excellent. Absolute best: AEROBIC EXERCISE-anxiety is discharged with this. Try it!!

I always get panic attacks after trying weed about 6 times, i have been off it for 5 weeks, when i have a panic attack i always panic about having a heart attack or a stroke, it even worsens because while having a panic attack your heart rate speeds up and is not good because it makes it feel more like a heart attack, i know they are terrible feels like im gonna die, whe i have one my palms start to sweat, my face goes pale, i dont know where i am, i am dizzy and disoriented what i found that works is by taking breaths from your stomach instead of your chest, when i feel one coming on i take breaths from my stomach and it focuses me on taking breaths from my stomach rather then the panic attack, i hope this helps, and i would reccomend not taking medication as it is not good and has bad side affects and could even worsen them.

THE NO 1 RULE HAS TO BE RELAX!! – Although it is often impossible to relax during an attack, it is very crucial not to submit yourself to your emotion. Breathe. Deep breathing helps calms and relaxes your mind and body. During an anxiety attack, focus your breathing to slow down your heartbeat. This also diverts your attention from the attack which helps you recover faster. Take some time and practice deep breathing exercises even if you are not stressed or feel anxious.
I found the info in the link below REALLY helpful!
Hope its as helpful to you! :)
