what specific medications are good for panic attacks and anxiety?
Any of SSRI’s (selective serotonin reuptake inhibtor’s) Celexa (citalopram) is good for both of those symptoms and is cheap. Also there is Prozac ( fluoxetine) Cymbalta which inhibits both both serotonin and norepinephrine uptake.
Good Luck.

I think antidepressants and anti-anxiety (benzodiazepines) medications have been traditionally used to treat panic attacks and anxiety. Antidepressants, such as paxil, zoloft, prozac, mainly the SSRI’s, to my knowledge, have been mostly effective in treating anxiety, also a symptom of depression. I take zoloft and it helps with my anxiety. Benzodiazepines, such as klonapin, ativan, valium, xanax are quick acting sedatives, that would probably be effective in treating panic attacks. Exercise would also help with both of those conditions.

Xanax is very good for both I have both of those conditions it works very well for me. It is a prescription medicine so your Dr would have to be able to see your panic attacks because it is habit forming and you have to be very careful and take it exactly how it is prescribed, Good Luck to you
