Relax and do long breaths. If you haven’t or aren’t doing it, start getting into yoga. It may sound weird but if you do, it teaches you to release stress and clear your head. Also look into meditation as it can help your focus in future panic attacks.
And yes you can be panic attack free without the use of medications, you just have to look.

Breathing. I used to put a bag on and breathe in the bag for less than 40 seconds.
It helped listening to relaxing music. I closed my eyes and started thinking that help from above was coming and this fear was going away.
I used to do that till the feeling was gone and I could sleep again.

Learn how to make your mind go blank. (meditation will help with this). Breath deeply and fully through your nose and say "relax" with every exhale. Concentrate on your breath and use some affirmations. Say out loud " I am safe and relaxed." "I am calm and serene" " I allow all my muscles and organs to relax"
If you are suffering from panic attacks you should go to a doctor. Medications like Zoloft or for more serious condition, Xanax will help immensely.

Breathing is key. Long deep controlled breaths which you focus all your attention on. This also works for sleep.. Good luck
