What’s your favorite and least favorite albums from Dream Theater?
My favorite so far is Octavarium. Overall it’s a great heavy metal album. The 24 minute epic "Octavarium" is excellent. "The Root of All Evil" is pretty intense. "Panic Attack" is among the band’s best, being extremely catchy and heavy. However, the upcoming Black Clouds & Silver Linings will probably beat that, though.
Least favorite is Systematic Chaos. The songs are simply too bland and mindless…I found only "The Dark Eternal Night" and "Constant Motion" to be the only decent tracks in it. Along the dull tunes are creepy lyrics like vampire bites in "Forsaken" and weird spiritual things in "In the Presence of Enemies – Part 1" and "2."
