I been having panic attacks for 7 months and when I first started to have them I felt hopeless. I felt like I was going to die everyday so I went to the doctor and he told me I was fine. I didn’t believe him so I went to another doctor and I was told that I had an Irregular heartbeat, the doctor told me not to worry It was normal In some people. He also gave me some pills to relax my mind they do help but I choose not to really take them because when I ran out what was I suppose to do I didn’t want to get hooked on them. I still think that something Is wrong with my heart and Its more than just panic attacks so I’m going to get checked by another doctor until I feel confortable. But when my panic attacks come on I try to think of my baby and how I have to be here to raise her and that I’m not going to die and everything will be fine.

You have to trace your thoughts, write them down so you can look at them and
write down your fear
your chances of it possibly happening
what would be the worst case scenario if it did
how you would handle it if it did happen
and that should take you back into reality
and give you a healthier perspective

also go to barnes and noble and buy
"stress and anxiety workbook"
its only $19.99 and you will learn so much from this

If all else fails, take a Xanax- it’s not a narcotic and doesn’t make you drowsy- it just chills you out. It’s a beautiful thing.

sit down and slow your breathing, think about something good- there are medications that can help with panic attacks – talk to your doctor
