Xanax dosage for panic attacks?
Hello, I have been presribed Xanax as needed for panic attacks. I only have paic attacks associated with agoraphobia in very specific circumstamces, ie when I am far from home (far being over 150km to 200km), and only at night. So, during the day I am always fine, even far away from home (I live in Brussels and go to London, Paris, Amsterdam without a problem during the day). But at night when I need to stay to sleep I get panic attacks, again only very far from home. What dosage should I be taking for intense panic attacks to calm me down? I am a male, 1m85 and 85 kg, and 30 years old. I tried 0,5 for flying (I get anxious, nothing more), and it helps cut the edge off but doesnt take everything away, Can I safekly take 1mg or 1,5 mg as needed? Thanks for sharing any experiences and feedback. Rgds.

First, the doctor who prescribed the Xanax for you should have explained to you how much you can/should take. I would discuss these issues with your doctor.
Please realize that Xanax is not a medication that you should change the dosage of without discussing it with your physician. Each person reacts differently to different dosages and no one here is a medical expert who can tell you how much to take or how often to take it. Beware that It can interact with other medications you are taking as well as with what you eat and drink. It also can be addictive.

You really shouldn’t be seeking that sort of medical advicehere; instead you should be talking to your doctor because everyone reacts to medication differentlyie the average dose of xanax may be too much or too little for you based on your specific chemistry and medical history.
